From Decoding "DI" to learning how your Destination ImagiNation experiences can help you succeed from some global organizations are all part of the Presentation Center events in the Knoxville Convention Center Room 301C.

Thursday, May 22

9:00- 10:00 DI Decoded
Did you ever struggle to explain the complexity of the DI program and just faded off with “you have to be there”. Come and see this visual display that tells the story in an easy to set up format. Visitors should stop by to get the inside view of appraising the Challenge presentations. All are invited.

10:30-11:30 DI in an Urban Setting.
Recent efforts in big city school settings are starting to take root. Come join us as ideas and best practices are shared by Chicago, Vancouver, Boston, Dallas among other cities. We want to hear how you sell it, support it, fund it. All are invited.

1:30-3:00 Instant Challenges for Parents.
What is the big secret that is Instant Challenge? Come and find out. Parents, bring a team or come by yourself. Kids, bring your parents, your still camera and video camera! It is as much fun to watch as it is to participate!

9:00-10:30 A Look into Real Careers.
Join leaders of global organizations like 3M, Destination ImagiNation, The National Dairy Council, Flair Communications, Caterpillar, Association of Equipment Manufacturers, IBM and others. Ask them what it takes to succeed and Destination ImagiNation plays a key role in helping you.
High School and College Students are invited.

In the global marketplace, all students and companies need to “think differently” to improve our environment and compete in business. Dr. Arthur Harkins, Director of Innovation Studies, and Dr. John Moravec, Innovation and Technology Coordinator, of the University of Minnesota will address the changes in education and corporate approach that can prepare our institutions for success.

Ready to take your problem solving skills to the next level? Join us and see how some of our teams changed their corner of the world while applying DI skills on real life problems. See this newest challenge that will be showcased at the Global Finals 2009. It is not too early to start planning now. All are invited.
